Just got back from another bday party...Jason's birthday is on Monday! He's turning 25 (or 26)...what an old man! This time, I was the youngest person in the group...others are either in grad school or working. Dinner was great though....i know about half of the people from playing basketball...in fact, i knew Jason from playing basketball. ANYWAY, at home now with nothing to do....tennis was awesome. The weather couldn't be more perfect!! Daisy & Joanna played really well...Dave and I were afraid they're going to challenge us to a game, then we'll probably lose...haha...and Ming "tries" to play tennis...lol. Ok, going to watch some tv and install some more stuff to my new formatted laptop.

Argh...got woken up by St. Patrick's Day parade. One good advantage about living here is I get great view of the parades, but who cares when they wake you up 9:30am on Saturdays.

Thanks for everyone who left comments and showed concern about my well-being. You guys are great! I actually got to a point where even the tiniest lucky thing made my day. Car's fine now, also got the package from my parents - food from hokkaido!! Took some pix but too lazy to post them. =P Weather is AWESOME (for Pittsburgh at least).

Went to Sharron's bday party last nite at OC. Happy Birthday Sharron! It was great seeing old friends that I rarely see on campus. It was a little awkward because 1) I was the only senior (yes, the oldest person there) 2) 90% are business majors. Met lots of nice, cool people...came home with cracked voice not from singing but from shouting across the room when I talked to people. One major difference from a business major party and a ece/cs major party is apparently the guy/girl ratio, and of course the quality of the girls. I should hang out more with the business major people =) Oh, and George!!! Gotta take me riding in your SL500!!! =))))

Endless bad luck continues. After failing the Chinese test, I finally got my new rims installed. Now my car is sexy as hell, but my MP3 player broke for no reason. I have shit loads of work all of sudden. Still no job, no $$. I've been spending myriads of hours trying to uninstall Microsft .Net Framework 1.0.2914 and now I might need to either format my HD or partition another space for another XP so i can install VS .Net (for Distributed class). Time flies and the deadline approaches....phone interview tomorrow, quiz and yet another interview thursday, essay friday, project intermediate report before spring break...the list goes on....

Why don't all these shit ever END? I don't think I've ever felt powerless, so fragile in my life. I feel like I'm living at the brink of insanity. Everyday I wake up and some shit happens. I can't name one thing I had accomplished for the past few weeks. Man, I don't even know what I'm writing. I can bitch on forever but no words can describe my feelings -- they're so messy, so chaotic. I'm so lost. Where's my North Star? Where's the angel that always guides me thru life? Where is the care package from my parents!?!? I have no goals, nothing to look forward to. My future is blurry, I don't konw where I'm going. Can someone tell me the way to certainty and happiness?

Just came back from trip to NJ/NYC. You would NOT believe what happened within 3 hours of my arrival. The road was slippery, and my friend's corolla slid from the left to the right lane in a three-lane highway. The car spun 300 degrees -- we were facing the traffic for half a second. The car finally crashed to the side rail on its back, whole trunk was gone. There were four people on the car and I was on the front passenger side. I think we were lucky to be alive...lucky that no cars hit us. Nobody was hurt though my mouth wouldn't stop bleeding for an hour =( So was I lucky or unlucky?

The of the trip was essentially shopping. Friday - went to Chinatown, bumped into Justiin, shopped at Soho, ate Japanese bbq. Saturday - went to Flushing to eat and shop, shopped on Fifth Ave and Bloomingdale. Sunday - woke up at 8am and went to Woodbury Commons. Met lots of cool people and yes, I'm a shopaholic.

Crap...gotta wake up at 5:30am for tomorrow's flight to NYC and I can't sleep right now. -_-" Tonite was great until I received the notorious rejection letter (email), again. So I decide to compile the following list:

Ten Things I Hate About United States:
1) Nobody wants to give me a job/internship. =(
2) All the defense companies. Don't know why.
3) IBM for calling me a "foreigner" and telling me to go to IBM in my home country. *middle finger*
4) RealNetworks and Apple. You can take those rejection emails and @#$($&@#$ your @#$(!@#*.
5) Pittsburgh. 'nough said.
6) Why doesn't anyone want to hire me?!?!!
7) Bubble tea costs $3.75 while bubble tea in Taiwan costs 80 cents and tastes 80x better.
8) Stores close at 6:00pm every nite, even on weekends. How do they keep themselves in buisness.
9) Losing $$ in the stock market. This blows.
10) Unemployment rate is 7.4% (I guess I'm not included in this percentage but still....).

I have the worst luck recently....crappy interview, two rejections, flat tire, broken nails while changing the tire, sprang ankle, present-less bday, kinda (where's my mom's care package?), a B- in rapid prototyping, no $$, no gf, messed up car, and now i can't even sleep...and so on.......

I got RAPED by the Cyberguard interview. Basically he asked me every single thing I learned in my Networking class. What is NAT? What is VPN? What is the difference between TCP & UDP headers? Does DNS use UDP or TCP? What is SSL? What are the 7 layers? He also asked about semaphors, preemptiveness, interrupts, etc. He also asked me some behavioral questions. It went on and on for 40 min. Most of them I can answer, but there were a few that I completely forgot or just don't know how to answer. Hardcore!! I should have reviewed my networks notes...but I didn't expect those coming because I took an online test before the interview. Oh well~~

So how would you answer this question: What if there's a slacker on your team and s/he doesn't do anything? What would you do?
