Living it big

DC is awesome!  At least thus far.  After living here for almost one month, My luxury apartment is still clean and bug-free.  Enya has never stopped satisfying my need for speed.  Before I know it, I have met tons of people to break me in this new area.  There is always things to do here -- trying out great exotic food, checking out the nice night clubs, chilling at friend's house party or bbq, singing ktv, hiking and biking(!), you name it.  There are plenty of tennis courts and golf courses for athletes who enjoy outdoor sports.  The city is diverse and populated with young professionals like myself.  Having stayed at so many different places in US, this is probably the best place for young people to work and grow.

My life, however, is another story.  As I have mentioned couple months before, I am broke.  I've been broke.  The only life saver right now are, unfortunately, my three plastic cards.  Yet, I went partying last weekend and even spent $100 in a single day.  I don't want to talk about it.  Eleven more days till my first big, fat paycheck =)

My company is very, very nice.  The decoration is warm and inviting, and the cozy sunlight covers the whole office.  Not to mention, MicroStrategy has by far the most friendly work enviroment I have experienced.  It resides in a six-floor office building literally 100 feet across the biggest mall in north Virginia.  Once last week, I gingerly explored the mall looking for lunch.  It was actually one of the few times that I passed by Kenneth Cole (or any store) without going in to check out the latest fashion.  I was proud of myself.  And I regret to say that, it might have to be like that for at least a couple months until my financial situation becomes more stable.

Anyway, enough of senseless blabbing.  I'm having a good time here because everything is new to me.  Stay tuned to see how things go from here.  haha...
